"Palestine is a moral litmus test for the world."

WHO ARE WE?
We are an independent, non-profit publication dedicated to providing a forum for the unheard voices of our community.
As longtime residents of once-progressive Berkeley, we were disappointed when our City Council ignored the will of the majority of its residents and refused to bring an important humanitarian resolution to a vote. Council members who controlled the agenda refused to meet with or respond to inquiries from concerned constituents. Attempts to bring the issue before the people through our local newspaper, Berkeleyside, were similarly dismissed. Flipside came about to provide a place where views and issues unpopular with local authorities, corporate media and powerful special interests can be raised and brought to the attention of concerned citizens.
